BART Train at San Francisco Intl. Airport Station.
"Spare the Air day"

For the fourth time within two months on today's 20th there was another "spair the air" day in San Francisco again. On these days all public transports (i.e. BART, MUNI Bus MUNI Metro as well as CALTRAIN...) can be ridden all the day without any charge. For many commuters, so me too, such days are a small celebration for everybody's wallet: normally only for the city of San Francisco monthly passes with a reduced fare be made available to passengers. For all other trips, e.g. to the San Francisco Intl. Airport, you have to pay a full fare ticket. Even parking on garages, that are close to the public transport stations, is free of charge.

Originally totally three of these "save the air" days day has been planned between June to October 2006. After June 22nd, 23rd and 26th all possible days were spent completely, but someone decided to expand on up to 6 days totally. This can be welcomed. Nevertheless on these days the trains and platforms never became overcrowded. From therefore you could enjoy your travel all the time, without having not a seat. As Chinatown district doesn't keep untouched from western-American influences.
