On a sunny weekend in February - temperatures in the mid fifties and I'm ready for some studio shootings. Set up and led by members of the german Sony User Forum it was a good occasion getting a feeling of what a studio shooting does really mean. Well skilled (semi-) professionals on set did explain the way of how to take studio pictures in a very simple and clear manner - paired with a lot of fun and a bunch of new experiences. The models - nice, beautiful, down to earth and quit patient. Well, they also did enjoy acting and posing in front of our cameras as much as we did in the back. My special thanks goes to the host - "shooty" - who made this location possible. Also to his mum keeping this location clean and our stomaches filled. All of the following pictures were made with the old but excellent Minolta 1.7/50mm prime lens that obviously gets the most out of the camera. Furthermore its suitability for Available Light Scenes is another point why I like this one. And when all of these tough situations come together at one place - then you're in the studio.
For those of you who might wanna know how it looks behind the curtain - here are some views insight following. It's all about light and the way the model act and plays with. This is one part of the secret giving you such awesome photos on hand. Available Light means that no flash did fire while taking all these photos. Well, last but not least one of the most important ingredients on every set is ... having fun!
